Here's a camwhore at the recent Singapore Toys, Games & Comic Convention last weekend!
I think I did a decent job with the makeup. I don't look like me at all! XD

It was one of the most enjoyable events of the year for me so far. <3 The company booths were really cool, and they had a lot of interesting things to see at the artist alley as well! There was also a Marvel cosplay meet up that a few of my friends went for, but I'm more a DC fangirl haha.

This coming weekend there's another small cosplay event, which I decided to join a competition for. I'm rather nervous, as I'm really not the competition type, but I want to try some new things this year, and build up some self-confidence! I'm not thattt afraid of the stage, but I'm afraid of messing up haha!

On a more serious note, I feel quite blogged down by life. As "luck" would have it this year, I am granted a really active social life- not always in a good way, as I'm attending a wake tonight :/ - and I still have some work and study goals to settle. Gosh, I wish I could take a sabbatical, but that is monetarily and chronologically quite hard for now.

I've actually been actively making costumes this year, so hopefully my sewing skills have improved <3 I have been quite late in posting up pictures on dA though, cuz some of them require a little more post processing than I can afford now. You'll see what I mean. OTL I'm either flopped like a dead fish or constantly sewing and drafting (urgh!!) on weekends. Also at night after I reach home. Or while I'm on public transport. >_> This is just teaching me that I have to schedule less cosplay plans with teams next time but for some reason allllllllll the series I want to cosplay from have people recruiting for teams this year, so that's got my fangirl juices flowing. :bademoticon:
I only have about 2 plans that I'm doing for myself lol!

Also I'm really dreading one of my cosplay projects for this year haha; it's actually quite a difficult costume for me to pull off, but I'm quite determined to try because I've been putting it off for two years while stockpiling material for it. OTL  It's time to clear the big ol' material pile!

Bought new lashes-
more natural ones, and more dramatic ones, than the current pairs I have. So they give a totally different look!

OH MY GOSH I'VE GOTTA TRY AND DRAW SUPER BIG SEMI CIRCLE EYES FOR THAT EVIL CHIBI THAT DEFINITELY STARTED DEVELOPING MY "DRAW BIG EYES" SKILLS. At least now I think I'll be able to draw the eyes nicer for next year's shoot? >w<

Bought new eyeliner-
its a hyper sharp/thin liner, so the lines it gives are not what I like for the lining of actual eyes (thus still using old one for that lol!). But its great for drawing double eyelids and fake lashes.

Very regular events/shoots in the last 6 months-
If you went for them all, and you didn't improve any aspect of your cosplay... Idk, you're doing something wrong... >_>


Next year it seems I have more plans than I can handle already, but I guess I'll try to take it slow. If worse comes to worse and I don't have a job, I'll probably have to cut back on my plans. :/

And i'm going to spend the New Year sleeping!!

So yaaay tomorrow (ok fine in about 3 hours) I would have left for Malaysia for my first overseas cosplay/anime convention! Kinda excited, hope to be able to meet with new friends too! My roommate's going to be aika-kuroda so hopefully we have a good time too~

Unfortunately I won't be able to complete my latest plan for Comic Fiesta, but I'll be using a new cosplay I am quite happy with. Also after I get back its Christmas, and ahhh all the gifts to give and get! x.X I have so not completed my shopping list. Then after that another new cosplay to be done in less than a week oh me, so overtly ambitious. OTL

Also dang it I haven't finished packing!!

The End of Year (EOY) cosplay event was yesterday, and (although I came late) I finished my outfit for it! <3

I'm really pleased with the outfit because it's completely made by me, everything except the underwear and sandals and wig LOL and I think I did a decent job with it, though I miscalculated a couple of measurements minorly and need to get a couple of modifications for the next round. Think my makeup and expression were mostly fine too, though I need to up the maturity level of my makeup. I thought doing it a more natural way would look better cuz I look mature by default, but apparently I ended up looking a little too chibi next to my partner, the 1.7m+ . >_>
